Wow! This Woman Drinks 8 Cups of Water a Day and She’s Still Sad!

Doctors recommend that adults drink half a gallon of water per day for optimal hydration. The health benefits of staying adequately hydrated are manifold—it boosts your immune system, prevents wrinkles and keeps your insides regular.

Sydney Zviebel has been drinking the recommended amount of water for two years straight without fail. And physically, she’s in peak condition. She is also profoundly sad.

“I’m despondent for most of my waking life,” says Sydney, while holding an 8-ounce glass (her third of the day—you go girl!).

Sydney’s general practitioner, Howard Brown MD, lauds Sydney on her dedication to a healthy lifestyle.

“She drinks the exact amount of water,” he says. “Not too much, not too little.”

Dr. Brown declined to comment on Sydney’s sadness.

The irony is not lost on Sydney that a sizable portion of her water intake goes toward producing copious amounts of tears that she cries when she’s alone at night.

“On the days when there’s an extra big cry, I’ll go for a ninth cup just to be safe,” she explains.

Sydney hasn’t always been a water-drinking virtuoso. Like any habit, she had to train herself into it. These days, Sydney is similarly in the midst of training herself to accomplish other impressive feats, like getting out of bed every morning.

“Most days I really don’t feel like it,” admits Sydney, her under eyes noticeably smooth and unblemished due to optimal hydration.

When asked if all women should consider drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of H20 per day, Sydney succinctly replied, “I don’t care.”

You’re an inspiration, Sydney!
